José Pedro Cerón Carrasco is a researcher based at UCAM. His main research interests are the applications of theoretical methods to the study of biosystems including DNA and novel drugs, aiming to enhance the therapeutic properties of currently available anti-inflamatories and anti-toumoral drugs.

José Pedro Cerón earned his Ph.D. at the University of Murcia in Spain. After that he joined the University of Namur in Belgium (2009) and the University of Nantes in France (2011), during his postdoctoral training supported by FundaciónSéneca. Next, he was a Marie Curie scientist in the Quantum Chemistry group of Murcia.José Pedro is currently working at the The Bioinformatics and High Performance Computing (BIO-HPC) Research Group, Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM). Six of his works have been highlighted in the cover of Chem. Comm., PCCP and ChemPhotoChem and he is inventor of two international patents.[/expand]
