2007 Joint Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Vice Chairman of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
Prof. Mohan Munasinghe is Chairman of the Munasinghe Institute of Development (MIND), Colombo; Director-General of the Sustainable Consumption Institute (SCI) and Distinguished Professor at the University of Manchester; and Honorary Senior Advisor to the Sri Lanka Government. As Vice-Chairman of the United Nations IPCC, Professor Munasinghe shared the 2007 Nobel Prize for Peace, for his work on global warming and sustainable development.

Rigoberta Menchú Tum is a 1992 Nobel Prize Winner and Human Rights Activist. She is a renowned leading advocate of Indian rights and ethno-cultural reconciliation, not only in Guatemala, but in the Western Hemisphere generally, and her work has earned her several international awards.
Louis Palmer, a Swiss school teacher, made world history as the first man who has ever circumnavigated the world with a car powered by renewable energy. His message has reached more than 700 million people all over the world. The tour’s mission was to spread knowledge about the dangers of global warming and to demonstrate to the world that solutions are available to combat global warming. He is definitely a man with a mission.
Julian Caldecott has spent more than 20 years promoting biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability around the world. Major themes in his work include integrating development and conservation, promoting sustainable and equitable use of biodiversity and ecosystems, and exploring ways to finance conservation sustainably. In recent months, he has assessed a five-year EC project on coastal ecosystem conservation in Thailand, and has been writing and editing books for UNEP.
Prof. Guy Sorman is considered one of the leading European liberal economists. He has held several public offices, including advisor to the prime minister of France (1995-1997), Member of the National Commission for Human Rights and deputy mayor of Boulogne (since 1995), near Paris. In 2008, he was appointed as Global adviser for the President of South Korea. Since 2000 he chairs the India France economic council, since 2007 a syndicated columnist for Project Syndicate and since 2009 he is the President of the Boulogne – Billancourt Economic Council.
Dr. Kirsty Duncan is internationally recognized as a leading expert in the area of pandemic influenza, environmental change, and the impact on human health. In 2008, Dr. Duncan was formally recognized as one of the Nobel Prize winning Canadians on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. She is a professor of Health Studies at the University of Toronto and is the current MP for the Liberal Party of Canada in the Toronto riding of Etobicoke North.
Dr. McIntosh is Professor of Human Security and Sustainable Enterprise and Director of the transdisciplinary Applied Research Centre in Human Security (ARCHS) at the University of Coventry. He is founder of the international, transdisciplinary, multistakeholder Roundtables on Sustainable Enterprise and ARCHS’ new MAs in Sustainable Enterprise and Human Security run in partnership with The Eden Project, England; the Sustainability Institute, Stellenbosch University, South Africa; and the UN University, Japan.

Bjørn Lomborg is adjunct professor at the Copenhagen Business School. He is the organizer of the Copenhagen Consensus Center, which brings together some of the world’s top economists, including 5 Nobel laureates, to set priorities for the world. Time magazine named Lomborg one of the world’s 100 most influential people in 2004. In 2008 he was named “one of the 50 people who could save the planet” by the UK Guardian; “one of the top 100 public intellectuals” by Foreign Policy and Prospect magazine; and “one of the world’s 75 most influential people of the 21st century” by Esquire.
