Paul Mason is Channel 4 News’ Economics Editor covering all aspects of the UK and global economy, markets, labour and commerce. He previously served in the same role for BBC2’s influential Newsnight. Before he became Economics Editor, Paul was Channel 4 News’ Culture & Digital Editor in September 2013. He is the author of several books, and a visiting Professor at the University of Wolverhampton.

His report on the social movements behind Bolivian President Evo Morales was cited when Newsnight was awarded the Orwell Prize in 2007. He was named the Royal Television Society’s specialist reporter of the year in 2012 for his coverage of the economic crisis and social unrest in Southern Europe.
