Formula One Industry Expert
Mark Gallagher has worked in Formula One for 25 years, and is a prolific speaker on the business lessons to be learned from this most demanding of sports. He has personally worked with the world’s greatest drivers and sponsors. Recently appointed head of Cosworth’s F1 engine business, Mark is responsible for delivering the power behind 5 of the 13 teams on the F1 grid in 2010. Prior to joining Cosworth in 2009 Mark ran his own F1 consulting business for six years working with F1 drivers and sponsors. As an F1 industry expert, Mark is also a regular commentator on Sky News and Sky Sports News in Europe.

Starting as F1 correspondent for media including London’s Sunday Express newspaper, BBC and Independent Radio News, Mark became a press consultant for top F1 sponsors. Commercial Manager for the Pacific F1 team in 1994-95 he then rejoined Jordan Grand Prix where he became Director of Marketing & Comms. and was part of the senior management board during the team’s most successful years. In 2004 he joined Jaguar Racing and worked through its rebirth as Red Bull Racing before setting up his own sports management company and racing team. Mark also consulted for Disney Pixar, coordinating the European launch activities for Cars The Movie at the Spanish Grand Prix.[/expand]
Using exciting video footage and slides, he offers a fascinating insight into the workings of F1 and A1 racing teams, demonstrating the motivation, teamwork and leadership skills to maintain performance and commitment levels.
