Pat Cash

Wimbledon Winner 1987

Pat Cash is best known as the flamboyant winner of Wimbledon 1987. Nowadays he is developing his business interests which include working with the Cash/Hopper Tennis Academy in Australia which he set up with fellow Australian Gavin Hopper. Pat is also kept busy with his television commentary work and in his capacity as the UK President of the charity GOAL, helping street children in the third world.

After his move to Ferrari, Alain claimed Ferrari’s 100th Grand Prix victory in France in 1990 and went on to score 5 victories for the famous Italian marque and end the season as runner-up behind Senna. After a frustrating year in 1991 and a sabbatical season in 1992, Alain made a welcome return to Formula One in 1993 partnering Damon Hill in the Williams F1 team.[/expand]

He was the officer tasked with control and response to the Ballykelly bombing in 1982, gaining the personal commendation of the GOC Northern Ireland for his actions.

He then became Military Assistant to the highest ranking NATO officer at NATO Headquarters. In 1991 he became the first British United Nations Commander in Bosnia.

Boris Becker
