Adrià joined the kitchen staff of El Bulli in 1984. The restaurant’s manager, Juli Soler, urged Adrià to travel in order to acquire new and fresh culinary ideas. Adrià soon began touring some of France’s top kitchens, learning various techniques from many distinguished culinary masters. During the second half of the 1980’s, Adrià began performing culinary experiments which were based on the use of fresh materials and adapting classic Mediterranean preparations to give El Bulli’s cuisine new twists with creative flair.

Geoff Hurst is the only soccer player ever to score a hat-trick in a World Cup Final. Geoff played for England 49 times and scored 24 goals. After 16 years he retired from top flight soccer, and started his own motor warranty business with fellow team mate Martin Peters. However, since 1995 he has been busy with speaking engagements and personal endorsements. As Director of Football for McDonalds UK, he has helped create 10,000 new football coaches, coaching children across the UK.
Humphrey Walters is a leadership and team building guru who was brought in by Clive Woodward in 1997 to use his winning business principles to improve the performance of the England Rugby team. Woodward credited Walters with helping to bring back the World Cup in 2003 and engaged him again in the build-up to the Lions tour in 2005.
Jacques Crevoisier is an Adviser to Europe’s footballing body, UEFA and the former Liverpool Head Coach who is also the Technical Director of Sochaux (French 1st division football team). Jacques is probably best known as one of the most influential figures behind the scenes at Liverpool FC in recent years. He is a Physical Education and Sports Teacher. Jacques is an expert on coaching and mentoring having overseen the development of many of France’s top footballers.
Gérard Houllier was National Technical Director of the French World Cup Winning Team of 1998. He was the Manager of Liverpool Football Club from 1998-2004 and in 2005 he became the Manager of French Champions Lyon. Gérard was Manager of Paris St. Germain from 1985-1986, winning the French Championship in 1986. He was also the Manager of Lens from 1982-1985, earning UEFA Cup qualification. He worked as number two to the National French Team Head Coach, Michel Platini, for the European Championship of 1988 and 1992, later progressing to Head Coach of France.

Nando Parrado is one of the survivors of the dramatic aeroplane crash on October 13, 1972 when a plane carrying a Uruguayan old boys rugby team over the Andes lost its bearings in bad weather and crashed in the remote mountains.
