Since 2004 he has been the tournament director of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam. In 2009 he made a surprise appearance on the professional golf circuit as a caddie for Wil Besseling, having managed him for two seasons. Since leaving the top-level of the game, Krajicek has featured alongside other retired professionals on the Tour of Champions and run The Richard Krajicek Foundation which builds sports facilities for children in the Netherlands’ inner-city areas.

“The ’96 Wimbledon champion was nicknamed ‘Crackerjack’ for his awesomely powerful serve”

In detail

Richard Krajicek began playing tennis at the age of four, and after several successful years on the junior circuit, he turned professional in 1989. He retired from the professional tour in 2003. During his career, he won 17 singles and 3 doubles titles. His career-high singles ranking was world number 4 in 1999 and was named ATP Comeback Player of the Year in 2002. In 2000 he earned ATP’s Arthur Ashe Humanitarian of Year award, and in 1999 the Dutch Postal system released a stamp featuring the ’96 Wimbledon champion. He was awarded The Dutch Sportsman of the Year 1996, organized by the Dutch Olympic Committee.

What he offers you

Having been through some tough times in his career and overcome them to become the only Dutch player to have won a Grand Slam, Richard Krajicek’s story is one with many ups and downs. In his motivating presentations he explains how he dealt with setbacks and gives insights into his ambitions on his way to the summit.

How he presents

Best remembered for winning the 1996 Wimbledon Championships and ending the dominance of Pete Sampras at the All England Club, the 6′ 5″ Dutchman, Richard Krajicek is a powerful and emotive speaker. He speaks about his experiences in professional athletics and the lessons he drew from them.

Milena Kaneva is a journalist who has covered humanitarian crises and genocide (Rwanda), shooting reports in Eastern Europe, Africa, South America and Asia. Her exclusive interview with Aung San Suu Kyi, the Nobel Prize laureate kept under house arrest by the military dictatorship, connecting her to Burma forever. In 2000 she produced her first long-form documentary, The Initiation, about female genital mutilation in Mali, and won first prize at the Festival of Due Mondi. She has become an activist herself, creating the “Freedom from Fear Foundation” to expose human rights problems, to promote and help causes around the world.

“If people around the world know the truth, there is a chance for change. Milena’s film makes it happen!” Vaclav Havel

In detail

Bulgarian born Milena Kaneva studied acting at the Sofia Theater and Film Academy. She moved to Italy in 1987, before the fall of the Berlin wall and began a career as a journalist and producer with the news agency WTN, later APTN. The documentary Total Denial was written, produced and shot by her, the result of six years of hard work in the jungles of Burma and the US Courts. It won her the Vaclav Havel Human Rights award in 2006 and has been shown in more than 50 festivals around the world. She is producing and directing her latest documentary “Freedom from Fear” about the non violent fight for democracy of the Buddhist monks and the Nobel Peace laureate Aung San Suu Kyi.

What she offers you

Milena Kaneva talks about her firsthand experience in gathering testimonies of slave labour, rape and the female genital mutilation. With her chameleon like capacity to transform from actress, to journalist, producer and director, camerawoman and editor- she inspires young people to try and achieve what seems “impossible”.

How she presents

In her highly sought-after presentations, Milena accompanies her speeches with excerpts from her films and video material and anecdotes about her totally independent filmmaking.

Stephen has been described as a “national treasure”, “a phenomenon”, and “an epitome of the Renaissance man”

In detail

Stephen Fry first came to attention in the 1982 Cambridge Footlights Revue presentation, The Cellar Tapes. In 1986, conscious of the growing interest from HR in measuring competence at work, she founded Moloney and Gealy with Norman Gealy. Clients included many household names such as the British Government, the NHS, GlaxoSmithKline, Volvo, Philips, Centrica. Karen set up Moloney Minds in order to concentrate on thinking, writing, speaking and working with a smaller group of select clients worldwide.

“As a young woman, growing a successful business from nothing to turning over a million pounds was an achievement in itself, but collecting an enviable client list along the way has been a delight”

In detail

Over the course of her career, she has developed particular theories on the use and abuse of talent and now advises global corporates on future demographic, social, political and economic changes, so they can be ready with the right talent in the right place at the right time. The changing nature of work, what people want from their working lives and how to engage generation Y and keep women on the leadership track are all issues she embraces with gusto.

What she offers you

Karen’s work over the past couple of years has included advising companies on attracting and retaining its top talent, the building of emotional capital within organisations, the development of competency frameworks as a culture change tool, and the creation of career and personal development opportunities to retain individuals. Karen has worked with the biggest, best and most varied private and public organisations across the world, including leaders who have made their mark, and her anecdotes and commentaries on their leadership style and strategy are enlightening.
