<p>Paul Volcker has received honorary degrees from several educational institutions. He was a director of the United Nations Association of the United States of America between 2000-2004, prior to his being appointed to the Independent Inquiry by Kofi Annan. His Fed is widely credited with ending the US’ stagflation crisis of the 1970s by limiting the growth of the money supply. As president, he also served as vice chairman of the FOMC. Previously, he served in a variety of positions with the Treasury, Chase Manhattan Bank, and the New York Fed.</p>

Symbolically, a decade later, Minister Passy negotiates and signs the historic Accession Treaties of Bulgaria to NATO (2004) and EU (2005). In 2004 as Chairman-in-Office he launched major reforms in OSCE. In 2002-2003 he participated in and chaired the UN Security Council, on behalf of Bulgaria. In 2009 Dr. Passy MP was the first Bulgarian nominee for Secretary General of NATO.</p>

<p>In 2001/ 2005-2009, Dr. Passy was the Chairman of Foreign Affairs and Defence and Security Committees of the Parliament. From 2004-2009 he promoted the creation of NATO-China Council and offering NATO’s membership to Russia. He is a member of several expeditions to Antarctica. From 2007 on, Solomon and his wife, Gergana Passy, then EU Minister, broth into being the standardization of all charging devices for all cell phones in the EU, to follow worldwide. Thus, they saved the world 20 million tons electronic waste annually.</p>

During her 12 years of presidency, she held the portfolios of Finance, Defence &#038; the new Ministry of Ethnic Policy &#038; National Integration.
