He took Twitter through an order of magnitude of growth and two major rounds of financing, while safely navigating some very rocky waters that would have taken even more experienced leaders down with the ship. He is also the co-founder and CEO of the new credit card payment device Square. MIT’s Technology Review named him in the TR35, an outstanding innovator under the age of 35.

BusinessWeek called Jack Dorsey one of technology’s “best and brightest”

In detail

Originally from St. Louis, Jack Dorsey’s early interest in real-time messaging lead him to Manhattan where he wrote dispatch software for taxis, couriers and emergency 911 centres. Throughout his work on dispatch, medical, and ticketing systems, he kept discovering the concept of ‘status’ updates, which helped fuel the ideas behind Twitter, a global utility connecting people in real-time through short updates from wherever they are.

What he offers you

Jack Dorsey talks about his ideas about what makes Twitter interesting and explains three words that are key to the success of Twitter: Immediacy, transparancy and approachability. He also explains his idea for Square: anyone with a mobile phone can accept credit card payments, promising a refreshingly simple system for cutting through the red tape.

How he presents

Jack Dorsey’s eye opening presentations are current, highly insightful and eloquently delivered.

‘Agent provocateur’ and a ‘…leading revolutionary’ Financial Times

In detail

Eddie and his team have spent the best part of a decade re-writing the fundamentals of business management to create their own coherent, joined up New World approach. They have challenged all the established thinking from strategy as environmental fit to ‘hero’ leaders and re-interpreted the needs for the 21st century of complexity and fast change. Eddie brings genuinely new concepts, materials and practice. He has written up some of his work in over 12 books.

What he offers you

If you’re after the ‘same old – same old’ Eddie is not the speaker for you. Using his extensive experience and insights he will challenge your perceptions and help you to see the new reality. But more than just ‘talking concepts’ he will use examples from real life client assignments to illustrate and explain, proving, in his words that “The future is now because most of us are already late!”. Eddie is a genuine leader. He has the ability to bring a presentation to life, engage and involve the audience often on a tough thinking journey. Eddie’s legendary reputation for injecting energy means he is often offered the tough post-lunch ‘graveyard slot’ at many conferences.
