He is the owner of the established Country Hotel and Creative Centre Schindlerhof and winner of the European Quality Award for Independent SME&#8217;s 1998, Paris.</p>
<p>Klaus Kobjoll studied at the D.Speiser hotel school in Tegernsee, Bad Wiesee and at the Lycée Technique Hôtelier in Strasbourg, France. He also spent some time studying in England.</p>
<p>He began his career at the age of 22 when he established himself as self-employed entrepreneur starting the &#8220;Crêperie Rennaise&#8221; in Erlangen in 1970. Throughout the 1970&#8242;s and 1980&#8242;s he opened several restaurants including a French Bistro called &#8220;Café des Arts&#8221;, a jazz cellar with live music called &#8220;Strohalm&#8221; and a restaurant called &#8220;Prison St. Michel&#8221; in Nuremberg. In 1978 he opened his first hotel &#8220;Landhotel Mörsbergei&#8221; with 19 rooms and 80 restaurant seats.<br />
<span id="more-7063"></span><br />
His most important venture to date, however, has been the &#8220;Landhotel Schindlerhof&#8221; which he opened in 1984 in Nuremberg. He bought the Schindlerhof property in 1988 and began to expand. In 1990 construction was completed of the &#8220;Schindlerhof Creative Centre&#8221;. In 1998, he won the highest quality prize in Europe for the &#8220;Landhotel Schindlerhof&#8221;: The European Quality Award 1998.</p>
<p>Klaus Kobjoll is the co-founder and honorary chairman of the &#8220;Landidyll&#8221; co-operative hotel project, currently with 70 member organisations in Germany, Austria and France. He is a regular lecturer in Marketing at courses for a hotelier&#8217;s degree at the Swiss Hotelier&#8217;s Association (SHV).</p>
<p>He is also a member of the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA) and is the first full member of the Swiss Hotelier&#8217;s Association (SHV).</p>

<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.speakersbulgaria.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Shewmaker.jpg"><img src="http://www.speakersbulgaria.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Shewmaker.jpg" alt="" title="Shewmaker" width="250" height="340" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-6943" align="left" style="margin-right:12px;"/></a>Joining Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in 1970, Jack served in several capacities including District Manager; Vice President of Security (now known as Loss Prevention); Vice President of Store Operations; Executive Vice President of Store Operations, Personnel, and Merchandise; President and Chief Operating Officer; and Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer. He was appointed to the Wal-Mart Board of Directors in 1977 and served on Wal-Mart&#8217;s Executive Committee.<br />
<span id="more-6940"></span><br />
Since his semi-retirement from the company in 1988, he continues to act as a consultant for them, together with his duties on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.  Jack is also a member of the International Platform Association and travels extensively honouring world-wide keynote speaking and consulting engagements with numerous global organisations.  According to Fortune&#8217;s current listing of the Ten Most Admired Corporations in the United States, Jack has consulted with or spoken to management groups of five of those top ten companies.</p>
<p>Jack is the recipient of several awards.  In 1981 he was named the Discount Retailer of the Year;  in 1985 he was presented the Retailer of the Year award by Mass Market Retailer magazine; in the same year he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate degree by Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, Missouri.  In 1996, Jack was voted one of the thirty most Powerful Retailers by Discount Store News.  Four years later he received an Honorary Doctorate degree by Drury University, Springfield, Missouri.</p>
<p>Furthermore, Jack is involved in several organisations that promote higher education.  For several years he was Chairman of Students in Free Enterprise, Inc., Missouri, and now serves that group as a Board member.  The Jack Shewmaker SIFE World Headquarters was dedicated in September 1999.  Jack continues to be a strong supporter of SIFE around the globe, speaking at SIFE seminars and workshops.  He was Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Drury College in Missouri and continues to serve on their Board.</p>
<p>A regular contributor of articles to the retail press, Jack’s published works include the cover article &#8220;Master Sellers&#8221; for Nation&#8217;s Business November 1988 issue and several articles which appeared in various issues in MMR Magazine, a retail trade publication.</p>

<p>Anne M. Mulcahy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English / Journalism from Marymount College in Tarrytown, N.Y. In addition to the Xerox board, she is a board director of Catalyst, Citigroup Inc., Fuji Xerox Company, Ltd., Target Corporation, The Washington Post Company, and is the chairman of the corporate governance task force of the Business Roundtable. She began her Xerox career as a field sales representative in 1976 and became chief staff officer in 1997 and corporate senior vice president in 1998. Prior to that, she served as vice president and staff officer for Customer Operations, covering South America and Central America, Europe, Asia and Africa, and China.</p>

He founded, raised funding for and organizes two groups at the National Bureau of Economic Research: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Policy and the Economy. He is a member of a number of other NBER groups and serves as co-editor of their publication, Innovation Policy and the Economy. At Harvard, his research focuses on the structure and the role of private equity organizations.</p>

<p>Josh Lerner graduated from Yale College with a Special Divisional Major which combined physics with the history of technology. He worked for several years on issues concerning technological innovation and public policy, at the Brookings Institution, for a public-private task force in Chicago, and on Capitol Hill. He then earned a Ph.D. from Harvard&#8217;s Economics Department. In the 1993-94 academic year, he introduced an elective MBA course on private equity and venture capital that has consistently been one of the largest elective courses at HBS. </p>

<p>An advisor to a select group of private equity funds and major institutional investors, Josh Lerner helps his global audiences identify and respond to key trends in the private equity industry. He also examines the impact of intellectual property protection, particularly patents, on the competitive strategies of firms in high-technology industries.
