Kenneth Rogoff has been Professor of Public Policy since 2004 and Professor of Economics since 1999 at Harvard. His main field of research is international finance. He has published extensively on policy issues in international finance, including exchange rates, international debt issues, and international monetary policy. His profound understanding of the current global economic situation is well documented in his 2009 book, ‘This Time is Different: Eight Centuries of Financial Folly’, co-authored with Carmen Reinhart.

Previously Prof. Rogoff served as Economic Counsellor and Director of the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund from 2001 to 2003 and before that, he was the Charles and Marie Robertson Professor of International Affairs at Princeton University. Early in his career, Kenneth Rogoff served as an economist at the International Monetary Fund and also at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
