Dr. Klaus Schweinsberg is a high profile German economic journalist and managing partner of the prestigious Academy Intes in Bonn. From 2003 to 2008 he led in the Gruner + Jahr business press as the chief editor and publisher of economic magazines, Capital and Impulse. Dr. Schweinsberg started to work for the G+J economy press in 2001 prior to that he worked for the Financial Times Deutschland. In 2009 he was nominated Young Global Leader 2009 by the World Economic Forum.
Klaus Schweinsberg was awarded with the Friedwart Bruckhaus-Preis of the Hanns Martin Schleyer-Stiftung.
In detail
Dr. Schweinsberg studied political economy at the universities of Fribourg (Switzerland), Siena (Italy) and St. Andrews (Scotland) and took his doctor’s degree in economic policy. During the latter he also worked for the chair of financial science at the University of Fribourg. He acquired his journalistic education in the seminar of journalism at the University of Fribourg. He is also a member of the Papal Foundation Centesimus Annus and the Sovereign Order of Malta.
